Motherhood After Dark

Preparation for Baby No.2

When we found out we were having another girl, one of my first thoughts would be that our second child was going to be a perfect addition to our family because I wouldn’t need to buy very much. I had held onto practically everything for Charlotte and so, it could be used again for Chelsea.

The only thing that we were a little anxious about was where Chelsea would sleep. In the end, we decided that we would try using a bassinet because it would take up less space than a crib and it would be more practical.

Since there was no way to be sure if Chelsea would like her bassinet (and if she was like her sister she wouldn’t go for it) I decided to use a service that I have used before called Stork Supply. This small Toronto business specializes in the rental of baby essentials and it was just what I needed. In the past, I have rented an Ergobaby Carrier (for our trip to Ottawa/Montreal) and a Fisher Price activity centre to keep Charlotte busy and in one central location. This time around, I jumped onto their website and saw that they carried the ever popular Halo bassinet and decided to get that for Chelsea. By renting this necessary piece of equipment, I would see if Chelsea liked it without the big price tag. Either way, it was a win-win.

Here are three things that I love about Stork Supply and why I would recommend this business to any mama-to-be/mama:

1.The customer service is exceptional. This is a key element for me when it comes to spending my coins! If the customer service isn’t up to par, chances are I will take my business elsewhere. The response to my inquiries were met with kindness, a high level of professionalism and efficiency. They also have the option of delivering the ordered item to you and this is something I have opted to do because of convenience and it has worked brilliantly for our family every single time.

2.The products are up-to-date. I was very pleased to see that the Halo bassinet was something Stork Supply offered as it is very popular but it’s price tag for purchase is not. By having access to renting the latest baby equipment on the market, I am able to learn more about what’s out there and try it out to see if it would work for our family.

3.I can return it when I am done with it. This is one of the greatest highlights of this business. Babies won’t stay babies forever and that means I don’t need to hold onto things that have already served their purpose, especially because we don’t have the space for it. I love that I am able to rent out what I need and return it when I (or rather, our baby) has grown out of it.

Since entering motherhood, I have made it a personal goal of mines to explore more small business and spend my money there once I am pleased with the service, quality and items being sold. I am happy to say that I am a repeat customer for Stork Supply and I would encourage anyone else to consider them when it comes to getting a hold of baby essentials.

Give them a follow on Instagram and head over to their website to see what they have available. Most importantly, spread the word. I am certain there is at least one mama within your circle who would benefit from using this incredible service as much as I have!

Oh and yes, if you were wondering Chelsea loves this bassinet and we do too!

Xx See you all next week!
