If there’s anything that I’m learning about this quarantine season that we’re in, it’s about the importance of not only loving your spouse, but ensuring that you like them (preferably before you make such a lifelong commitment of course).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

From the time we got married until now, the Hubs and I have had conflicting and ever-changing schedules so quality time was a high priority for the both of us — especially with having two young children. Because I am on maternity leave for two more months in conjunction with this Stay-at-Home period, we’re seeing a lot more of each other than usual. Happy Fri-Yay! I don’t think I’ve EVER stayed home so many consecutive days in a row — even after having the girls (today makes day 5)! Month No.9| And just like that, you’ve outgrown your Halo bassinet, your bumscooting has become occasional because crawling and pulling yourself to stand up is more your thing. Your babbling is intentional and your ‘no’s’ are very clear is action. Hello Beautiful People! It’s been awhile since I

Hello Beautiful People! It’s been awhile since I’ve introduced myself and I noticed there are so many new faces around here so here goes .... 1. I have no piercings or tattoos & our daughters’ ears aren’t pierced either. The talk of piercings actually makes me lightheaded — weird, I know.
2. Our dating, engagement and wedding anniversary share the same date — July 5th — and since we got married in 2016, this means that we got married on a Tuesday. If you want the deets on our day, it’s up on the blog.
3. I have a fear of heights and so, I’ve never been in the CN Tower located in downtown Toronto. Maybe I’ll be willing to try one day but most likely not.
4. I’m intentional about breaking generational cycles that don’t serve my family so, if it threatens my peace and sanity it’s an automatic NO #nolongtalk
5. I have 30k + photo & video on my phone. So, yes, I’m addicted to capturing moments of all kinds and I wouldn’t trade it for any other ‘addiction’
6. Bonus: I adopted more of a minimalist way of life while pregnant with Charlotte and it’s one of the best adult decisions I have made!

A couple of weeks before Charlotte was born, a close friend assured me that the small void I had felt at the time wouldn’t last forever and that God would never leave me in want. When I look at my girls surrounded by friends who have literally become our family I know that I have seen her words come to fruition right before my very eyes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s been awhile since I’ve made a post for #marriagemonday so here goes, quick story-time for you — we had simple, yet great, plans for Valentine’s Day and none of it went according to plan. Our last date was a couple of months ago and while it’s not ideal, this is our life - hands full and hearts fuller. This week has been off to a heavy emotional start

This week has been off to a heavy emotional start and I’m certain you all know why. I’ve been in a funk since learning about the lives that were lost in the tragic helicopter accident that claimed the lives of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, John Altobelli, Kerri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, and Ara Zobayan. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My heart aches and grieves so deeply for all of the lives that have passed knowing that family and friends must now learn how to navigate life without their loved ones. As a wife and mother, I feel heartbroken because this is such an unimaginable incident that has taken place. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whenever I hear of a family that has experienced a loss, my heart sinks and my mind goes into a cloudy state for a few days. It’s not hard for me to simply imagine what it must feel like and for that purpose alone, I find that I grieve as if it were my own personal grief. I have a new appreciation for life because of the roles that I have thanks to Keith and our girls. Life is indeed so fragile so love your people, love them hard.
