Chelsea’s 1st Birthday

Even though we are still under quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was still important to us to celebrate our second daughter’s first birthday in a special way.

Chelsea’s 1st Birthday Party Outfit

Hello Beautiful People!

On June 1st, 2020, we celebrated our youngest daughter Chelsea’s 1st Birthday. The months leading up to her birthday celebration, I had great plans of what we would do but our world as we knew it took a turn. The plans of a birthday party with close friends and family turned into a brief Zoom call and Instagram Live celebration.

Even though we weren’t having an in-person party, it was important to me to have a theme and get a custom cake from the highly recommended Natalie of @natbakescakes on Instagram. This was my third time ordering from Natalie and it will not be my last. Check her out for yourself and you will see what I mean! Chelsea had a donut theme birthday celebration, with a customized onesie from Little Bugz Collection (@littlebugzcollection on Instagram and Etsy), and a dusty rose tulle skirt complete with donut snap-ons from none other than Bluish (@heyitsbluish on Instagram). I was incredibly pleased with the customer service, timeliness, and quality from each of my vendors and I am so happy to be able to support local businesses especially because they are powered by women!

I purchased balloons for her and took a couple of photos to commemorate her big day. All-in-all, even with everything not going according to the plan I had in my mind, we had a wonderful time celebrating our sweet girl. Chelsea had an even greater time walking in her tulle skirt, playing with her balloons and eating her cake. And really, that’s all that matters, right?! The year flew by and she continues to amaze us every single day.

We are thankful for such a healthy and happy little girl who is loved by so many. Thank-you to everyone single person, be it friend, family, or stranger who has chosen to pour into our little family. Your love and support do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

This was a quick post today, but I wanted to share with all of you how we celebrated baby Chelsea’s 1st birthday — quarantine style and all!

Continue to stay safe and healthy.

Xx See you all soon!
